Some of this analysis is shockingly naive. Do you really believe Japan has any power whatsoever to reconsider military cooperation with the US? The country has literally been occupied by the US military since 1945

US is not a superpower, it’s an empire with an eternal debt of 40 trillion

Eternal debt also eternal wars

21 trillion disappeared into the pockets of those that are getting

stinking rich if this debt and eternal wars

The future? There’s none it will always remain the same

eternal debt eternal wars

Unless…

As Ezra Klein says "The US is an insurance conglomerate with a large standing army."

Absolutely but the army, i.e. the military is now beaten on every front by professional amateurs, that have not overflowing toilets, moulded bathrooms and that eat not even quality junkfood.

How can they ever win wars when their boats get sinking?

Dr. Mearshiemer certainly do several shows each week but the one I look forward to seeing is the one on your channel. To me, it dives deeper every time and this is certainly true for this specific interview.

"Yet the United States remains an extraordinarily powerful country. Its underlying capabilities have not been fundamentally reduced. What has suffered is its ability to project power effectively and maintain diplomatic influence and alliances."

- Economically - One may reasonably argue there is a fundamental reduction.

Perhaps not short term, 1 year, 2 year but 10 year 20 year there is a serious issue

and this is why Trump/US is reaching out - eg: Colonization Venezuela oil & gold.

What the US can take from others remains to be seen: venezuela, cuba, greenland,

argentina, canada, EU held subservient, Iran Saudi Arabia Kuwait Bahrain UAE

the list goes on - Rest assured Trump/US is serious about taking the gulf region

contain and control Saud UAE Kuwait Jordan Egypt Everyone

this is viewed as existential for survival

US has invited the EU to join, but there is reluctance there ( in EU )- however it appears clear

US has Colonial Imperial tendencies and that is the foreseeable future.
